Customer Segments
Customer segments group your customers based on their behavior, value, and lifecycle stage. Segmentation helps you tailor your marketing and service approach for each group.
Default Segments
Bookora automatically assigns every lead and customer to a segment:
New Leads
Recent leads who have not yet booked an appointment. These prospects need nurturing and follow-up to convert into customers.
Strategy: Automated welcome sequence, quick follow-up, AI engagement
Active Customers
Customers who have booked within the last 60 days. These are your current revenue drivers and should receive priority service.
Strategy: Upsell opportunities, review requests, referral incentives
VIP Customers
Your highest-value customers based on LTV, frequency, and revenue. These customers deserve special treatment and priority booking.
Strategy: Exclusive offers, priority scheduling, personal outreach
At-Risk Customers
Customers who have not booked in 60-90 days and show signs of disengagement. Prompt action can recover many of these customers.
Strategy: Re-engagement campaign, special offer, win-back sequence
Custom Segments
In addition to default segments, you can create custom segments based on:
- Services purchased (e.g., customers who bought a specific package)
- Booking frequency (e.g., customers who book weekly vs. monthly)
- Revenue range (e.g., customers with LTV over $1,000)
- Location or geographic area
- Referral source (e.g., from Google, social media, or word-of-mouth)
- Last appointment date
- Custom tags and labels you assign
Segment-Based Actions
Once customers are segmented, you can take targeted actions:
- Send personalized email campaigns to specific segments
- Create workflow triggers that activate based on segment changes
- Adjust booking rules or pricing for VIP segments
- Target at-risk customers with win-back offers
- Analyze revenue and trends by segment
Tip
Review your customer segments regularly. As your business grows, you may discover new segments worth targeting with specific strategies.
