Connect Your Calendar

Connecting your calendar is essential for automatic availability syncing and preventing double bookings. Bookora supports Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar.

Google Calendar Connection

  1. 1. Go to Settings > Calendar Connections in your dashboard.
  2. 2. Click Connect Google Calendar.
  3. 3. Sign in with your Google account and grant Bookora permission to view and manage your calendar events.
  4. 4. Select which calendars to sync (primary, secondary, or both).
  5. 5. Confirm the connection. Your calendar is now synced.

Outlook Calendar Connection

  1. 1. Go to Settings > Calendar Connections in your dashboard.
  2. 2. Click Connect Outlook Calendar.
  3. 3. Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant the required permissions.
  4. 4. Select the calendar you want to sync for availability and bookings.
  5. 5. Confirm the connection. You can manage multiple Outlook calendars.

Availability Sync

Once connected, Bookora syncs your calendar to determine when you are available. Here is how it works:

  • Existing events — Events on your calendar are treated as busy time and blocked from booking.
  • Working hours — Only time within your configured working hours is available for booking.
  • Real-time sync — Changes to your calendar are reflected in your booking availability within minutes.
  • Multiple calendars — If you connect multiple calendars, Bookora considers all of them when checking availability.

Double Booking Prevention

Bookora prevents double bookings by:

  • Checking your calendar for conflicts before confirming any booking
  • Blocking the time slot in real-time when a customer is in the booking flow
  • Adding booked appointments as events on your connected calendar
  • Respecting buffer times between appointments

Troubleshooting

Calendar not syncing

Ensure you have granted the necessary permissions. Try disconnecting and reconnecting your calendar.

Availability not updating

Check that your working hours are configured correctly in Business Profile settings.

Connection expired

Calendar connections may expire if not used for a long period. Reconnect to restore sync.
